In the forests of Taiwan, a man searches for endangered orchids, as a filmmaker searches for belonging. Her family name “蘭” (Lan), meaning orchid in Mandarin, turns this parallel search into an exploration of preservation and finding belonging on disputed land.

GOD'S WILL (2024)

This experimental documentary delves into the concept of free will through the lens of a shepherd and his flock. Amid the sweeping hills of Wales, the sheep appear to live freely, grazing and roaming without awareness of the fate that awaits them. The shepherd, responsible for over 2,000 sheep, tends to them with care—yet each of these creatures shares an inevitable destiny: one day, they will be slaughtered and sold as meat. The film invites reflection on the tension between the illusion of freedom and the underlying forces that govern their lives.
